Ever heard of Dr. Seuss? He
is one clever story writer! One
of my favorite books is called
Oh the Places You'll Go! And
it goes like this... "Oh the
places you'll go. Today is your
day! Your mountain is waiting, so
get on your way!" Oh my...
It was just that way on
our trip to Ireland. But instead
of mountains, it was long, winding,
narrow, never ending country roads.
Had we not ventured out on
those long narrow country roads of
Ireland, we would have missed an
adventure of a life time. So...
Thank you Dr. Seuss, for your
words of advice. We'll continue our
journey to who knows where next...
And... another post
Healing from a loss is a
long, long process that takes time!

As for Dr Seuss - he's said of lot of wise words and I think he's being quoted around the world.
ReplyDeleteCarol, I started to read Shaniel's story and I was so touched. The things you and your family have done to raise awareness is so touching and important.
I wish you all the very best.
Thank you so much Katarina! Losing a daughter, and like we did, has been very difficult. It has changed us all, and oddly enough, for the better. We have learned to love more, forgive more, exercise more faith in an all knowing and loving God, and look for the good. I miss her terribly, have my sad days, and can hardly believe she is gone. But I know I will see her again and it will be like we were never apart. I look forward to that glorious day with great anticipation! And, it is people like you, with compassion and love, that helps to heal. So thank you!
DeleteGreat six words, Dr. Zeuss, he had such good things to say.
ReplyDeleteCarol, what a lovely photograph of you and your beautiful children. Was it take in front of the Temple? I am so sorry about the loss of your daughter. To think of being with her again some day is a great comfort, But, alas, how the heart aches now. I am sending prayers for your peace and healing. xx, maureen
ReplyDeleteMaureen, yes this picture was taken in front of the Salt Lake LDS Temple in the spring when all the tulips were in full bloom. The temple grounds were peaceful and beautiful. Felt like a little bit of heaven! It was a very good day spent with my children. Thank you for asking and being a kind, sweet friend.
DeleteLong winding roads can be as adventure-filled as mountains!
ReplyDeleteI read Shaniel's story... so sorry for your loss, and offering prayers for the work you do in helping others in the same plight.
A gorgeous shaded path, looks like the perfect spot for a walk!! And what a beautiful family photo!!
ReplyDeleteFew things I like as much as a long, winding path. This is beautiful - and your family story brought tears of sadness and prayers for continued courage in your service to so many. Thank you so much for linking up and for sharing your heart!
ReplyDeleteYou have followed a lot of interesting paths in your life. Love that picture.
